Seventh Sign started with the atemption to play songs by Yngwie Malmsteen and Europe, therefor
the name Seventh Sign (song titles by Yngwie and Europe). But since singer Erik sounds a bit like
Europe's own Joey Tempest it all turned out to be a tribute to Europe, but without the look-a-like.
I entered the band in December 1999 replacing original drummer Jonas Petersson. This happened
just two weeks before a performance at a Europe Convention held in Upplands Väsby, the home
of the original Europe.
We've made a lot of gigs with this band but we never took it to the maximum by wearing wigs and
stuff. We just let the music do the talking.
At one ocasion we had Europe members Ian Haugland, John Levén and Mic Michaeli on stage for four
songs. We headlined that gig and we had Thin Lizzy (with John Sykes and Scott Gorham) opening for us.
We still do gigs but maybe twice a year at the most. The reason is that it's very difficult for us to
get us all together at the same time because of our different schedules.
Best quotes: "You guys are nuts! You can play our songs" John Levén (Europe)
"You guys sounds even better than we (Europe) do!" Mic Michaeli (Europe)
